Setting up a Welcome Flow in Klaviyo

Demo summary

Demonstrates how to create a welcome flow from scratch, selecting a list trigger and adding time delays between initial emails.

Step-by-step

  1. Select Create Flow and choose to build from scratch
  2. Select List as the trigger for the flow
  3. Choose the specific list that subscribers are added to via your form
  4. Drag and drop an Email component into the flow
  5. Add a Time Delay component after the first email
  6. Set the wait duration before adding a second email to the sequence

Options

  • Enable or disable Smart Sending to prevent over-emailing profiles who recently received other communications

Watch out for

  • You must have a list already created to trigger the flow when someone is added

Tips

  • Use a time delay between emails to space out your communication strategy
  • Ensure Smart Sending is considered if you are worried about users receiving too many emails at once
