Step-by-step

  1. Click Edit on your newsletter campaign
  2. Configure the To field and select a merge tag like first name to personalize the recipient line
  3. Set the From line to show who the email is from
  4. Write a subject line and preview text
  5. Go to the Send Time section
  6. Select Send Now
  7. Click the Send button to launch the campaign

Options

  • Use Mailchimp's AI to generate subject line ideas
  • Create AB tests for subject lines
  • Use Send Time Optimization to send when recipients are most likely to open
  • Use Time Warp to send based on the recipient's local time zone

Watch out for

  • Personalizing the To field with merge tags requires a Standard plan or higher
  • Send Time Optimization and Time Warp are only available on the Standard plan and higher
  • Free plan users can only use the Send Now option
  • Images may not display for all recipients if you are not yet a trusted sender

Tips

  • Personalize the To field to help avoid junk folders
  • Treat subject lines like YouTube titles to encourage clicks
  • Always include preview text as almost everyone uses it
