Kit: Setting up an email sequence

Demo summary

Shows how to create a multi-day email sequence, use content snippets for signatures, and schedule the timing between emails.

Step-by-step

  1. Navigate to Send and select Sequences.
  2. Click New Sequence and select a template, such as Text Only.
  3. Draft your email content and use the Personalize menu to add the subscriber's first name.
  4. Click the plus icon and select Snippet to insert a pre-made signature.
  5. Set the timing for each email by adjusting the 'Send this email' delay (e.g., 1 day after the last email).
  6. Click Add Email to create subsequent messages in the drip series.
  7. Go to Settings to configure the sender address or exclude specific subscribers by tag.
  8. Click Update Sequence to finalize your settings.

Options

  • Choose between the Monterey template or a Text Only template.
  • Exclude specific subscribers from the sequence based on tags.
  • Adjust font size manually to ensure snippets match the rest of the email body.

Watch out for

  • A Pro Plan or Creator Plan is required to access the Sequences feature.
  • The editor may occasionally display font sizes or spacing differently than the final version; hit Save to refresh the view.

Tips

  • Use the Text Only template as it feels more natural and less like a marketing blast.
  • Set a 3-day delay between some emails to give subscribers time to rest.
  • Preview the email before publishing to ensure the personalization tags and links work correctly.
