Step-by-step

Select an email from the sequence list on the right sidebar
Set the send timing by entering the number of days to wait after the previous email
Toggle specific days of the week to enable or disable sending for that email
Drag and drop emails in the sidebar to reorder the sequence
Click Settings in the top right to configure global sequence behaviors
Select tags or forms under Exclude subscribers to prevent specific users from receiving the sequence
Toggle the sequence to Active to allow published emails to send

Options

Set send delay to 0 days for immediate delivery
Assign a different template to each individual email in the sequence
Set a specific time of day and timezone for multi-day delays
Enable 'Restart the sequence multiple times' for repeat triggers like purchases
Choose whether subscribers stay in the sequence or exit after completion in visual automations

Watch out for

Sequences do not work on their own; they must be connected via visual automations
By default, subscribers will not receive a sequence more than once unless the restart option is enabled
If you set subscribers to stay in a sequence, they will not move forward to the next step in a visual automation

Tips

Uncheck specific days (like Sunday) if you want to avoid overlapping with your regular weekly broadcast emails
Use the 'only send on a certain day' setting to create an evergreen series that delivers every Thursday
Set a default template in Settings so every new email created in the sequence uses the correct branding automatically
