- Go to Loops and Samples and select a drum kit from the Steinberg factory library

- Adjust the number of steps from 16 to 32 if a longer pattern is needed
- Click an existing note to delete it
- Adjust the velocity sliders for specific notes to create variation
- Rename the channel and assign a drum icon
Options
- Select entire drum kits or sift through individual one-shots
- Edit the kit further before or after entering the Pattern Editor
Tips
- Use the Laidback House Pack or Laser Beams for dance tracks
- Turn down the velocity on snares for a more subtle percussive effect
- Add velocity variation to high hats to improve the feel of the loop
