Step-by-step
- Select the Comping Tool from the mouse menu
- Click and drag across sections of audio in the take lanes to slice and promote them to the top layer
- Adjust clip gain by clicking the triangular icon on an audio clip and dragging
- Click the Take Lanes button to hide outtakes
- Highlight all audio clips
- Navigate to Audio > Advanced > Delete Overlaps to consolidate the comp
Options
- Use the solo button on individual take lanes to audition specific takes

- Consolidate your comp after finishing to create a clean lead vocal before recording doubles and harmonies
