Recraft: Build a custom AI style

Demo summary

The user walks through creating a custom style by uploading reference images, setting style-level prompts, and adjusting weights for texture and composition.

Step-by-step

  1. Click the Create Style button
  2. Upload reference images from your computer or select existing images from the canvas
  3. Add a style-level prompt to define top-level instructions like colors or textures
  4. Toggle between Style Essentials (colors/textures) or Style and Composition (includes camera angles/perspective)
  5. Adjust the weights of individual images to determine their level of influence on the outcome
  6. Click Generate to test the style with a specific prompt before saving
  7. Click Save and name your style
  8. Apply your custom style from the My Styles section of the style library

Options

  • Upload images from computer
  • Select images already on the canvas
  • Toggle Style and Composition on for fisheye or distorted camera perspectives
  • Toggle Style Essentials for color and texture only

Watch out for

  • If Style and Composition is turned off, the model will not replicate specific camera angles or distorted perspectives from the reference images

Tips

  • Experiment with the style controls before saving to avoid having to go back and edit later
  • Use style-level prompts like 'editorial photography' or 'grainy textures' to enhance the output
  • Increase the weight of a specific reference image if you want its color palette or geometry to be more dominant
  • Test your style with a specific prompt (e.g., 'rose flower') to verify the output matches your expectations
