Demo summary

The user demonstrates capturing a noise print and adjusting the reduction and aggressiveness sliders to remove background hiss.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to the Effects menu
  2. Select Noise Reduction / Restoration
  3. Click on Noise Reduction (Process)
  4. Select a noise-only portion of the audio clip
  5. Click Capture Noise Print
  6. Adjust the Noise Reduction slider to set the aggressiveness
  7. Adjust the Reduce By slider to specify the amount of noise to remove
  8. Click the Apply button

Watch out for

  • You must capture a noise-only part of the audio before processing
  • Setting sliders too high can cause the audio quality to degrade

Tips

  • Select the noise-only part from the beginning of the clip
  • Adjust settings while the audio is playing to hear changes in real-time
  • Try to find an optimal value rather than maxing out the sliders to avoid audio degradation
