Step-by-step

  1. Drag audio files from the media browser or your computer folder into a track
  2. Select the Razor tool to split a clip at a specific point
  3. Switch back to selection mode to select and delete unwanted clip segments
  4. Drag the icons at the beginning and end of a clip to apply fade-ins and fade-outs
  5. Drag the horizontal line on the track to decrease the volume
  6. Open the Effect Rack to add an Amplitude and Compression effect
  7. Select Amplify and adjust the boost or cut decibel levels

Options

  • Import files via the internal media browser
  • Drag and drop files directly from your computer folders
  • Use 'Boost' to increase volume or 'Cut' to decrease it within the Amplify effect

Watch out for

  • The Normalize effect is unavailable when adding effects directly from the Effect Rack
