Cubase 15: Real-time Pitch Shifting and Doubling

Demo summary
The host demonstrates the new Pitch Shifter plugin on a lead vocal, adjusting formants and using it as a stereo doubler.
Step-by-step
- Open the Pitch Shifter plugin on a vocal track
- Adjust the pitch and formant settings to taste
- Select a saturation type using the Drive knob from Tape, Tube, or Distortion
- Unlink the left and right channels for stereo processing
- Set the left channel slightly higher and the right channel slightly lower to create a doubler effect
- Blend the effect in parallel using an effects channel track
Options
- Choose between Tape, Tube, and Distortion saturation types
- Unlink left and right channels for independent processing on stereo tracks
Watch out for
- The plugin must be on a stereo channel to unlink left and right channels for the doubler effect
Tips
- Use the Pitch Shifter on an effects channel in parallel to the dry vocal for better control
- Apply a bit of Drive to the doubler effect to enhance the sound
