Step-by-step

  1. Open the Melodic Pattern editor in Cubase 15
  2. Select the key of the song and set the note range
  3. Import a chord progression by dragging a MIDI event or chord track into the editor
  4. Click Randomize to generate a pattern of notes
  5. Adjust the Density level to add or reduce the number of notes
  6. Toggle between Monophonic and Polyphonic modes
  7. Adjust the number of voices when in Polyphonic mode

Options

  • Import chords from a chord track
  • Import chords from a MIDI track
  • Randomize variations for different patterns
  • Manually write your own patterns and notes instead of randomizing
