Fl Studio: Route recording tracks and add Reverb

Demo summary
The creator shows how to route the recording track into a mixed vocal track using control-click and how to add parallel Reverb using a shift-click routing method.
Step-by-step
- Select the record track in the mixer
- Control-click the routing button on the mixed vocal track to route the record track into it
- Go to the playlist and select your mono input (e.g., Input 1)
- Set the recording mode to 'External input only' and 'When armed'
- Shift-click the routing button on the reverb track from the vocal mix track
- Adjust the routing knob to dial in the desired amount of parallel reverb
Options
- Select different mono inputs depending on your hardware setup
Watch out for
- You must select the mono version of your input rather than stereo
Tips
- Always record with 'External input only' to ensure you record dry vocals without baking in effects
- Use 'When armed' so you can hear yourself as soon as the track is ready to record
- Route the record track into a separate mix track so the recording sounds processed while staying non-destructive
