Fl Studio: Master bus processing with Wave Shaper and Soft Clipper

Demo summary
A demonstration of adding Fruity Wave Shaper for harmonics and Fruity Soft Clipper to the master track to increase perceived loudness.
Step-by-step
- Open the Master track in the mixer
- Add Fruity Wave Shaper to the first plugin slot
- Click the Cog icon and set the Mix level to 50% or less
- Enable the Over Sample button and set it to 4X
- Enable the High Quality button
- Adjust the curvature to a convex shape to add harmonics
- Add Fruity Soft Clipper to the second plugin slot
- Turn the threshold to the right to enable hard clipping
Options
- Switch mixer view between Compact 2, Wide, or other layouts
- Toggle plugin and bottom section visibility using the mixer icons
- Turn threshold to the left for soft clipping instead of hard clipping
Watch out for
- If the mixer is too small, the bottom section buttons may be hidden; drag the mixer window to make it bigger
Tips
- Use Compact 2 mixer view for a more traditional 'old school' workflow
- Apply convex curvature in Wave Shaper to give the track a more 'filled out' or 'buzzy' sound
