Demo summary
The demonstration shows how to use SliceX to auto-slice a loop, pitch it down, and apply EQ and delay to create a rhythmic sample chop.
Step-by-step
- Open SliceX
- Select Auto slice and choose a grid size such as small or medium
- Click the gear icon to access pitch settings
- Pitch the sample down
- Right-click the top area to select and drag an EQ effect onto the sample
- Click through the sliced segments to find a melody
- Add delay to the sample chops
Options
- Small grid auto-slicing
- Medium grid auto-slicing
Tips
- Incorporate rhythm into your sample chops and add delay to blend them into something new that doesn't sound like a basic two-step chop.
