ClipchampTry it →Watch full video →Teacher's Tech ·

Demo summary

The video demonstrates adding an MP3 track to the timeline, trimming it to fit the video length, and applying fade-in/fade-out effects.

Step-by-step

  1. Drag an audio file from your media library onto the timeline
  2. Position the playhead where you want to cut the track
  3. Click the scissors icon or press the 'S' key to split the audio
  4. Select the unwanted portion and press Delete
  5. Click on the audio clip to open the settings panel
  6. Adjust the Volume slider to ensure background music doesn't overpower voices
  7. Navigate to the Fade tab to set Fade in and Fade out durations

Options

  • Trim audio by dragging the clip edges
  • Layer multiple audio tracks to play simultaneously

Watch out for

  • Audio layers are additive; unlike video, placing one track underneath another will result in both playing at the same time

Tips

  • Lower the volume of background music if there are voices in the video to make them easier to hear
  • Use the 'S' key as a keyboard shortcut for faster clipping
