Mailchimp: Verify and Authenticate Sending Domains

Step-by-step
- Go to Settings and click Domains
- Choose Sending Domains
- Enter your domain name and click Add
- Click View details in the Verified Domain column
- Enter a valid email address and click Send Verification Email
- Click the link in the verification email
- Click View details in the DKIM settings column
- Create two new CNAME records in your DNS settings using the provided values
- Set up a DMARC policy in your DNS settings
- Click Test DNS Settings to verify the configuration
Options
- Verify domain via DNS TXT record instead of email
Watch out for
- Authentication is required; you cannot send emails until this step is finished
- You must update DKIM records and set up a DMARC policy to meet Google and Yahoo requirements
Tips
- Authentication improves your chances of reaching the inbox and protects your domain from spoofing
