Create custom groups in Mailchimp

  1. Log into your Mailchimp account
  2. Click on Audience in the left-hand sidebar
  3. Select Manage Audience or the more options button at the top
  4. Click Groups from the dropdown menu
  5. Click the Create Groups button
  6. Select the Radio Buttons group type
  7. Enter a title in the Group Category box
  8. List specific groups under Group Options
  9. Click Create Group

  • Checkboxes (allows multiple selections)

  • Hidden
  • Add multiple group options/cities simultaneously

Watch out for

  • The interface may shift slightly, requiring you to look for 'Manage Audience' or a 'more options' button

Tips

  • Be patient during loading if you have a large subscriber list
  • Use radio buttons to ensure each contact fits neatly into only one category
  • Double-check your spelling before clicking create
