Build a mobile opt-in popup in Klaviyo

Step-by-step

1. Select a template from the Sign Up Forms library, such as the multi-step email and SMS full page form
2. Assign the form to your specific Email and SMS subscriber lists
3. Navigate to Targeting & Behavior and select 'Show on mobile only'
4. Use the Add Blocks menu to drag and drop a Phone Number input field if it is not already present
5. Set the button action to 'Submit' for the opt-in steps
6. Configure the Success message step to confirm the subscription
7. Go to Styles and select 'Popup' as the form type
8. Adjust the width to 750x500 for a standard mobile fit

Options

• Choose between Popup, Full Page, Flyout, or Embed form types
• Enable a 'Teaser' block to allow users to reclaim discounts after closing the form
• Toggle image visibility to show on all devices or desktop only

Watch out for

• If your SMS is hosted on a platform other than Klaviyo, you must contact that provider to integrate their capture method into a Klaviyo form
• Changing the 'Side Image' setting to 'No Side Image' can break the formatting and spacing on mobile templates

Tips

• Create separate forms for mobile and desktop rather than one responsive form to make data analysis easier
• Avoid using Teasers on mobile as they often obstruct the customer's shopping experience
• Keep the default 'Right Image' setting even if not using an image to maintain the template's pre-configured spacing
• Don't use templates exactly as they are; customize the blocks and text to fit your specific resources
