GarageBand: Fix audio timing errors with Flex Time

Step-by-step

  1. Select the audio track you want to edit
  2. Open the editor window by clicking the icon, selecting Show Editor from the View menu, or pressing E
  3. Tick the Enable Flex box in the Track tab
  4. Click a transient (peak) in the waveform to create a flex marker
  5. Drag the flex marker to align the note with the project grid

Options

  • Open the editor via the top-left icon
  • Open the editor via the View menu
  • Open the editor via keyboard shortcut E
  • Zoom in and out of the waveform using the slider

Watch out for

  • The Enable Flex box must be ticked in the track tab before you can move audio

Tips

  • Use the zoom slider to get a better view of the waveform when placing markers
