Step-by-step

Open the Lumetri Color panel and go to the Color Correcting tab
Select the clip you want to edit
Adjust the Exposure, Contrast, and Highlights sliders to balance the image
Modify Shadows and Whites to refine the background brightness
Toggle the effect on and off to compare the before and after
Navigate to the Creative tab to apply a LUT
Adjust the LUT intensity percentage

Options

Upload custom LUTs for creative color grading
Increase or decrease exposure depending on the raw footage quality

Tips

Lower the whites if the background is too bright or distracting
Set LUT power to around 30-35% to avoid making the footage look ridiculous
Use a subtle teal and orange shift to make the colors pop
