ComfyUI: Image-to-image enhancement with denoising

Demo summary
The video shows how to use the 'denoising' strength in ComfyUI to blend a base 3D rendering with AI-generated details like autumn trees and realistic people.
Step-by-step
- Load your base image into the ComfyUI workflow
- Connect your prompt and LoRA model to the sampler
- Adjust the 'denoise' strength value to determine the blend between the base image and AI generation
- Set the denoise to 0.70 to generate 70% new AI data while keeping 30% of the base image
- Lower the denoise to 0.50 if you want the result to more closely resemble the original rendering
- Run the generation to see the combined result
Options
- Use a LoRA model as an add-on to the main AI model
- Run the process without any ControlNets
Watch out for
- Setting denoise to 1.0 (100%) will use nothing from the base image
- Higher denoising levels may add unwanted artifacts like 'weird street lines' that require manual fixing
Tips
- The more work you put into your initial rendering, the less you have to worry about the AI changing important details
- Generate three or four versions at different denoising levels using a fixed seed
- Layer different denoising results in Photoshop and paint out specific elements you want to maintain
