Step-by-step
- Select the Import from file method.
- Upload a CSV or similar file and preview the first 10 lines.
- Match your file headers to Brevo's contact attributes.
- Click Confirm mapping.
- Select an existing list or create a new list and folder.
- Choose whether to update existing contact attributes or leave them alone.
- Check the box to confirm the import adheres to Brevo's rules.
- Click Confirm your import.
Options
- Copy-paste contacts manually.
- Import from another tool.
- Create a new attribute during mapping if a matching one doesn't exist.
- Select 'Do not import' to skip specific file headers.
- Toggle on the option to erase existing attributes if the new file contains blank fields.
- Blocklist the contacts being imported instead of adding them to a messaging list.
Watch out for
- Do not map external contact IDs to Brevo's 'Contact ID' attribute; use 'External ID' instead.
- You must confirm that your contact list adheres to Brevo's rules before finishing.
Tips
- Name your lists something descriptive.
- Leave the 'erase existing attributes' toggle unchecked if you want to keep existing data when the new document has empty fields.
