Importing contacts to Brevo

Demo summary
Demonstrates how to import contacts via CSV file, map data attributes (first name, last name, email), and organize them into specific lists.
Step-by-step
- Click Import your contacts from the dashboard.
- Select Import from a file and upload your CSV file.
- Preview the data and click Confirm your file.
- Map the CSV file headers to the corresponding Brevo contact attributes using the drop-down menus.
- Select Do not import for any headers or data columns you do not wish to bring into the system.
- Click Confirm mapping.
- Select an existing list or click Create a list to organize the new contacts.
- Click Confirm my list and then Confirm my import.
Options
- Copy and paste contacts as text from a spreadsheet
- Import directly from another tool (e.g., Mailchimp) via direct sync
- Create custom attributes if the desired mapping field does not exist
Tips
- Downloading a CSV file from your previous email service provider and uploading it to Brevo is one of the easiest ways to migrate.
- If you have separate first and last name columns, you can set the 'Full Name' column to 'Do not import' to avoid redundant data.
- Organize contacts into specific lists so you can target segments rather than sending campaigns to every subscriber.
Highlights
“This is one of the easiest ways in my opinion because you can just download a CSV file from your previous email service provider and upload it here.”
