  1. Select the Erase tool for simple, small areas.
  2. Paint over the object and click Erase.
  3. Navigate to the Catalog and select GenErase from the generative tools for complex areas.
  4. Paint over a single object or section.
  5. Click Erase to process the removal via the cloud.
  6. Click Reset Selection before painting the next object to avoid re-rendering previous areas.
  7. Click Save once the generative removals are complete.

Options

  • Run the standard Erase tool multiple times if it creates unwanted repetition on the first pass
  • Re-select and erase strange artifacts if the AI produces an imperfect result

Watch out for

  • GenErase requires an internet connection as processing is done in the cloud
  • Processing speed is dependent on your internet connection
  • You must reset the selection between objects or the tool will rerender the entire previous selection

Tips

  • Work in smaller sections rather than painting over everything at once
  • Select and erase just one object at a time to achieve better resolution
  • Use the standard Erase tool for simple areas and GenErase for areas where 'more is going on'
