ComfyUI: Running a Ready-Made Workflow

Demo summary
The video shows how to load a .json workflow, download the required Juggernaut Reborn model, refresh the node list, and generate an image of a cat.
Step-by-step
- Start ComfyUI and wait for the interface to load
- Drag a .json workflow file onto the canvas or go to File > Open
- Locate the 'Load Checkpoint' node to identify the missing model name
- Download the required model file (e.g., Juggernaut Reborn)
- Navigate to your ComfyUI installation directory and open the 'models' folder
- Place the downloaded model into the specific subfolder indicated by the workflow notes
- Refresh the node list or restart to select the model in the Load Checkpoint node
- Click Queue Prompt to generate the image
Options
- Open workflows via the 'Workflows' tab in the sidebar (Easy Installer version only)
- Pan the canvas using the Hand tool or by clicking and dragging the background
- Zoom in and out using the mouse wheel
- Close workflows using the X button at the top of the tab
Watch out for
- .json workflow files do not include the actual AI models/checkpoints
- Models must be placed in the correct specific subfolder within the models directory to be recognized
- If a node turns red or shows 'Value not in list', it usually means a required model or file is missing
Tips
- Look for notes included by workflow creators to find download links and folder paths for required models
- Workflows generally process from left to right
- Use the normal mouse cursor to select and move individual nodes rather than the hand tool
- Widen the sidebar to see the full text of workflow filenames
Highlights
“These are some of the simplest errors to fix. It is like the car telling you a light bulb is missing.”
