Step-by-step
- Open the masking panel at the top of the side panel
- Select Custom Mask and choose Linear Gradient
- Click and drag on the image to place the gradient
- Adjust the fade and angle by dragging the gradient lines
- Select Subtract and use the brush tool to remove the mask from specific areas like trees or buildings
- Adjust the exposure, highlights, and whites sliders to modify the masked area
- Adjust the color temperature slider to change the sky's color
Options
- AI masking for automatic detection of eyes, face, hair, and backgrounds
Tips
- Drag the gradient lines further apart to create a more gradual fade out
- Lower the exposure by about half a stop to make the sky pop
