Mark uses the manual Patch Tool in Evoto to select and remove distracting cables and objects from the corner of a photograph.
Step-by-step
- Select the Healing Tool from the sidebar
- Choose the Patch Tool
- Zoom in on the target area using the mouse wheel
- Hold the Shift key to use the hand tool to reposition the image
- Draw a selection around the object you want to remove
- Drag the selection to a clean source area to replace the pixels
- Use the Healing Brush to fine-tune the edges
Options
- Use the Healing Brush instead of or in addition to the Patch Tool for fine-tuning
Tips
- Spend extra time with the healing brush to fine-tune the area until all distractions are fully removed
