Step-by-step
- Select the Pen Tool and draw a custom path.
- Go to Pen Tool settings and reduce the opacity to zero.
- Navigate to Trim Path settings and select an object or preset to link.
- Click on Link to attach the object to the end of the path animation.
- Set a keyframe on the End Path at zero, then move forward and set it to the maximum value.
- Set a keyframe on Scale for the object, then move forward and scale it up to fill the frame.
- Add text and apply an animation preset from the Animation tab.
Options
- Select any object from the timeline instead of a preset
- Use the Circle preset for the path object
- Apply the Blur In animation preset for text
Tips
- Reduce the path opacity to zero so only the moving object is visible, not the line itself.
