Fabfilter Pro-Q 3: Editing EQ Nodes and Bands

Demo summary

The narrator shows how to drag EQ nodes, adjust Q values, change filter types, and solo specific bands within the Pro-Q 4 instance view.

Step-by-step

  1. Drag EQ nodes to adjust frequency and gain
  2. Scroll the mouse wheel to adjust the Q value
  3. Right-click a node to access filter types, steepness, and stereo placement
  4. Click the EQ sketch button at the bottom left to draw a frequency response
  5. Hover over a node and click the solo button in the readout box to isolate the band
  6. Drag values within the readout box to adjust gain or frequency independently
  7. Double-click a value to type in a specific number

Options

  • Change speaker set for multichannel mixes
  • Enable spectral or dynamic modes
  • Adjust dynamic behavior via the extra handle on dynamic bands
  • Expand the track fully using the button at the top left

Tips

  • Use the EQ sketch feature with the track expanded fully to make it easier to use
