Step-by-step

  1. Click into the Text tab in the toolbar
  2. Hover over text styles to preview their motion and style
  3. Drag and drop your chosen text style into the timeline above your video asset
  4. Drag the end handle of the text bar to adjust the duration or position it to a specific section
  5. Click on the text bar in the timeline to open the property panel
  6. Select the Text tab in the property panel to edit the words, font, and size
  7. Click the Color button to select a default color, use the HSV Color Picker, or enter a hex code

Options

  • Replace existing text by dragging a new style directly on top of the old text bar
  • Edit plain text directly in the stage instead of the property panel
  • Adjust font size using the slider in the property panel or by dragging handles in the video preview
  • Reposition text by dragging it manually within the video preview

Watch out for

  • Text must be placed on top of the video asset in the timeline to be visible over the footage

Tips

  • Scroll through all available options and use the hover preview to see the animation before selecting
  • If you want text to show throughout the entire video, drag the handle to the very end of the timeline
