Step-by-step

  1. Click on the asset in the timeline to highlight it in green
  2. Drag the corner handles on the stage to resize the video
  3. Drag the rotate button to change the video orientation
  4. Click the crop button in the floating toolbar and drag the edges to the desired area
  5. Select the fit or fill buttons in the floating toolbar to remove black edges
  6. Click the aspect ratio button on the right to select a new format like 9:16
  7. Use the three dots in the floating toolbar to access flip or picture-in-picture options

Options

  • Revert a crop back to the original using the revert button
  • Rotate video by 90-degree increments
  • Flip video horizontally or vertically
  • Create a picture-in-picture effect

Watch out for

  • You must select the specific asset in the timeline first, which is especially important when working with multiple assets

Tips

  • Use the fit and fill buttons to remove black edges for a more aesthetic look
  • Adjust the video placement after changing aspect ratios to ensure the subject fits the new canvas
