Step-by-step
- Drag the primary clip into the timeline on the Cut page
- Scrub through the timeline to find the desired start point
- Select the clip
- Press Control+B (Windows) or Command+B (Mac) to blade the clip
- Select the unwanted section and press Delete
Options
- Scrub by clicking and dragging the playhead or using the mouse wheel
- Jump to sections using the full-video preview at the top of the interface
- Hover over the edge of a clip until it turns red and drag to adjust the start or end time
- Use Control+Z or Command+Z to undo edits
Tips
- Use the audio waveforms below the video track to visually identify where speech begins
- Use the zoomed-in timeline view at the bottom to dial in precise edit points
