Kittl: Vectorize images for color editing

Demo summary

Shows how to take a flat PNG image and use the Vectorizer to turn it into editable color paths.

Step-by-step

  1. Remove the background from the PNG image
  2. Count the number of distinct colors present in the image
  3. Click on Vectorize
  4. Select the number of colors that matches your count
  5. Click the Vectorize button to process the image
  6. Select individual color paths to adjust shades or vibrancy

Options

  • Adjust the number of colors to include in the vectorization
  • Change specific colors to lighter, darker, or different hues

Watch out for

  • Flat PNG images cannot have their colors edited individually until they are vectorized

Tips

  • Manually count the colors in the original image before setting the color count in the vectorizer
  • Use 'See all' to view and edit the full palette of vectorized colors
