  • Darken the foreground while keeping the background bright
  • Darken only what is considered far in the image
  • Add colder or warmer colors to specific depth planes

Tips

  • Avoid using the Amount at 100 as it is very easy for the effect to be overdone
  • Use this tool to recover images taken in non-ideal lighting, such as in the shade or with heavy backlighting
  • Keep the subject slightly brighter than the background to draw the viewer's eye
  • Apply the effect softly to add a subtle bit of brightness to the subject
