Photoshop: Remove objects using Generative Fill and Firefly Image 3

Demo summary
The demonstrator uses the Selection Brush to highlight a distracting sign and applies Generative Fill (powered by Adobe Firefly) to generate three different AI variations of the background.
Step-by-step
- Select the Selection Brush tool
- Paint a selection around the object you want to remove
- Click on Generative Fill in the contextual task bar
- Open the Partner Models menu and select Firefly Image 3
- Click Generate without typing a prompt
- Review the three variations in the Properties panel
Options
- Use the Remove Tool for a quicker, single-result removal
- Type a specific prompt into the Generative Fill box for more control
Tips
- You don't have to be precise with the selection; a 'sloppy' circle around the object works fine
- Use Firefly Image 3 as it is the best model for removing objects
- Use Generative Fill instead of the Remove Tool when working with complicated backgrounds to get multiple variations to choose from
Highlights
“You don't even have to be that good. As you can see, I am very sloppy here.”
