Demo summary

A walkthrough of creating a 'zoom through the eye' transition by using a circle mask, inverting it, and animating the scale with keyframes in Filmora.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to the last frame of the push-in shot and click the screenshot icon
  2. Place the resulting PNG file at the end of the push-in shot
  3. Add a circle mask to the PNG and select the invert option
  4. Adjust the mask corners to the size of the pupil and increase the blur
  5. Go to Basic settings and drag the anchor point to the center of the eye
  6. Set a scale keyframe at the point where you want the transition to start
  7. Scroll to the end of the clip and increase the scale until the mask covers the frame
  8. Place the next shot on the track underneath the masked clip

Tips

  • Increase the blur on the mask to blend the transition better
