Step-by-step
- Enable the Smart Tool button in the top toolbar
- Hover the mouse over the top half of an audio event to use the range selection crosshair
- Click and drag in the top half to select specific pieces of audio
- Hover the mouse over the bottom half of the audio event to switch to the arrow tool
- Click and drag in the bottom half to move the entire audio chunk
- Hold Command (Mac) or Control (PC) to activate the Split tool
- Click on the audio event while holding the modifier to create slices
Options
- Use Command on Mac or Control on PC to toggle the Split tool
Tips
- Use Command/Control + Z to undo if you create too many accidental slices
