Izotope Rx: Edit multiple tracks simultaneously with Composite View

Demo summary
The instructor demonstrates using Composite View in RX 11 to perform synchronized edits across both mono and stereo guitar tracks while maintaining independent undo histories.
Step-by-step
- Import multiple tracks into RX using the Shift+W command
- Click the Composite View button at the top of the interface to merge tracks into a single view
- Perform the desired edit or apply a module, such as Gain or Guitar De-noise, to the composite track
- Click Render to apply the changes across all tracks simultaneously
- Exit Composite View to return to individual track tabs
- Manage specific track changes using the independent Undo History panel at the bottom of the screen
Options
- Use the Guitar De-noise module to remove amp noise across multiple mic sources
- Adjust Gain on specific notes across all tracks at once
Watch out for
- Tracks must be recorded at the same time (synchronized) for composite editing to be effective for multi-mic setups
Tips
- Use Composite View for multi-mic drum kits or guitar amps with multiple microphones to ensure phase-locked editing
- Take advantage of the separate undo histories for each track after exiting Composite View to fine-tune individual files
Highlights
“this is really really handy if you want to edit a load of multi mic stuff... it's super easy”
