Step-by-step

Sign into 11labs.io and click Go to App in the top right corner
Expand the left sidebar and select Sound Effects
Enter a text prompt or select a sample from the wheel
Adjust the Duration and Prompt Influence sliders as needed
Click Generate to produce four audio samples
Hover over a sample and click the play icon to preview
Click the download icon to save the file to your computer

Options

Select pre-made samples from the wheel to auto-fill the prompt bar
Click the history icon above the generate button to recover previous clips
Click the plus icon on a history item to reuse and edit a previous prompt

Tips

Use the Prompt Influence slider to control how much the AI deviates from your text description
Customize the duration if you know exactly how long the sound effect needs to be
