Configuring background music and SFX in Auphonic

Demo summary
The demonstration shows how to upload sound effects and music tracks to Auphonic, setting them as background tracks or using the 'Duck This Track' feature for automatic volume reduction during speech.
Step-by-step
- Click the Add Audio Track button
- Name the track and upload your sound effects or music file
- Turn off filtering and noise reduction for these tracks
- Leave the Advanced Leveler settings at their default values
- Select Background Track or Duck This Track from the foreground/background dropdown
Options
- Set track to Background Track to keep volume 18 decibels below the main track
- Set track to Duck This Track to keep music prominent but automatically reduce volume during speech
- Adjust the default -18dB background volume offset to suit specific projects
Tips
- Use Duck This Track for vlogs or projects where music is a prominent feature
- Leave the leveler at default for music as the algorithm is designed to preserve natural dynamics while balancing loudness against speech
