Opus Clip: Customizing caption styles and effects

Demo summary

The user shows how to modify caption fonts, weights, colors, strokes, and shadows within OpusClip. It also demonstrates adjusting the safe zone positioning and selecting animation styles like 'bounce' or 'underline'.

Step-by-step

  1. Navigate to the Captions section in the editor
  2. Select a preset like 'Karaoke' to use as a starting point
  3. Adjust the Font, Font Size, and Font Weight using the dropdown menus
  4. Configure Font Stroke and Font Color to define the text border and fill
  5. Set the Shadow X-axis, Y-axis, and Blur strength to ensure text stands out
  6. Go to Effects to set the caption position to Auto, Top, Middle, Bottom, or Custom
  7. Select an Animation Style such as 'Bounce' or 'Underline' for keyword highlighting

Options

  • Toggle Uppercase on or off
  • Apply Italic or Underline styling to the entire caption
  • Remove the Font Stroke entirely to show raw text
  • Move captions to a Custom position anywhere on the screen

Watch out for

  • Do not place captions within the 'white cloudy' border area on the demo screen, as social media platform UI elements will cover them

Tips

  • Use 'Auto' position in most cases so Opus Clip can move captions dynamically if needed
  • Ensure the drop shadow is large enough to stand out against your chosen font stroke size
  • Use 'Bounce' and 'Underline' animations to keep the viewer focused on keywords
  • Set up these styles as a Brand Template to automatically apply them to future content

Highlights

this allows you to be able to customize some of the options inside of your captions
