Click Create an Automation and select Start from scratch
Set the trigger to Subscribes to a list and select your specific lead magnet list

Click Save and Exit to return to the automation builder
Add an If/Else condition set to 'Has clicked on a link' and select the download link
Set a 4-day wait period for the condition to be met
Add a follow-up email to the 'No' path for those who haven't clicked
Add a delay and a different follow-up email to the 'Yes' path for those who have

Use ready-made templates instead of starting from scratch

Watch out for

You must have the email created or be prepared to design it when prompted during the 'Send an email' step

Tips

Use an internal name for the email that subscribers won't see, like 'Ebook Lead Magnet Download link'
Use a clear, direct subject line such as 'Here’s Your Free Guide!'
Send a follow-up email a few days later specifically to those who have not yet downloaded the lead magnet
Invite subscribers to connect on social media in the 'Yes' path follow-up
