ComfyUI: Running HunyuanVideo with GGUF (Low VRAM)

Demo summary
The video shows how to use the GGUF loader node to run a compressed version of HunyuanVideo 1.5, enabling video generation on GPUs with as little as 6GB of VRAM.
Step-by-step
- Open the Manager and select Custom Nodes Manager
- Search for and install 'ComfyUI-GGUF' by City96
- Double-click the workspace and search for 'Unet Loader GGUF'
- Press 'R' to refresh the model list
- Select the 'HunyuanVideo Q4 GGUF' from the dropdown menu
- Connect the GGUF node to the workflow, replacing the original Diffusion Model node
- Disable the original HunyuanVideo model node
Watch out for
- The Q4 GGUF version results in noticeably lower quality, such as distorted hair details
- The ComfyUI-GGUF custom node must be installed to access the GGUF loader
Tips
- Use the GGUF version to enable video generation on GPUs with low VRAM (as low as 6GB)
- Loading the GGUF model is significantly faster than loading the original model
