Step-by-step

  1. Select Packs on the left-hand side of the interface
  2. Click on the Cinematic category
  3. Hover over a pack and click Pack Info
  4. Select Overlay Effects to preview available options
  5. Drag and drop the chosen overlay directly onto a clip in the timeline
  6. Click the FX icon on the clip to open settings
  7. Adjust the Mix slider to change the intensity of the effect
  8. Select a different Blend Mode from the dropdown menu

Options

  • Skim over effects to preview them before applying
  • Change the blend mode to Soft Light for a different visual style

Tips

  • Bring the mix slider down to about 50% to make the effect look more subtle
