CapCut: Animating logos and icons with auto-removal

Demo summary

The creator uses CapCut's auto-removal tool to isolate a logo and demonstrates animating icons with scale and rotation keyframes to create a pop-in effect.

Step-by-step

  1. Select the logo clip and click Auto removal under the Background removal tab
  2. Set the final position of the logo and add a keyframe on Transform
  3. Move the playhead backward, decrease scale to 1, and set rotation to 15
  4. Open variable speed animation to smooth out the rotation and scale keyframes
  5. Add a horizontal guide to align multiple icons in the center
  6. Add keyframes to icons at the start and 10 frames forward to create a zoom-in effect
  7. Apply a Mosaic effect to each icon and adjust the blur settings
  8. Go to Mask, select Rectangle, and set the corner rounding to 20

Options

  • Adjust blur intensity (e.g., 7 or 9) for the Mosaic effect per icon
  • Use horizontal guides to ensure multiple icons are on the same line

Watch out for

  • Ensure all icons are the same length on the timeline before keyframing
  • The mask size must be manually adjusted to match the icon size before rounding corners

Tips

  • Trim the clip end up to the first keyframe to clean up the timeline
  • Hold Shift while moving the playhead to jump forward exactly 10 frames
  • Copy the specific rounding value (e.g., 20) to ensure consistency across all icons
  • Time the icon zoom-in to trigger exactly when the main logo starts zooming out

Highlights

It's pretty much the same thing we are doing over and over here.
