Configuring AI Automated Culling in Aftershoot

Demo summary
A walkthrough of the AI culling settings in Aftershoot, including genre selection, grouping sensitivity, and blur/closed-eye detection thresholds.
Step-by-step
- Select Cull from the main menu
- Choose AI automated culling
- Select the genre of photography from the dropdown menu
- Adjust the photo count slider to determine the percentage of images to keep
- Click Custom AI cull to access advanced settings
- Toggle Highlight photos to identify the best images for sneak peeks or albums
- Adjust the Duplicate photos slider to set the grouping sensitivity for image stacks
- Set the Blur detection and Closed eyes thresholds using the strictness sliders
- Click Start culling
Options
- Use AI assisted culling for manual control instead of full automation
- Toggle blur detection on or off
- Toggle closed eye detection on or off
- Set blur detection to Strict for headshots or Lenient for artistic shallow depth of field
Tips
- Use the Highlight photos feature if you need to quickly generate a sneak peek or slideshow
- Set the grouping slider to Standard to separate different compositions without lumping the whole shoot into one set
- Use Moderate blur detection for family portraits where slight depth-of-field variations are acceptable
- I really don't see any reason not to highlight the best photos from the series
