Step-by-step

  1. Install Nunchaku nodes for ComfyUI
  2. Download the specific Flux Mania model corresponding to your GPU (50 series vs 40 series or lower)
  3. Download the two required CLIP models, the VAE, and the upscaler
  4. Load the portrait image into the workflow
  5. Set the Denoise value between 0.8 and 0.9
  6. Run the workflow to generate a 2x upscale

Options

  • Add a second upscale model after the first pass to increase size further
  • Increase the upscale value to 0.75 or 1.0 for higher resolution

Watch out for

  • Requires Nunchaku nodes to be installed first
  • Setting the upscale value to 0.75 or 1.0 will be much slower and may cause a crash
  • Must use the specific model version that matches your Nvidia GPU series

Tips

  • Use Denoise values between 0.8 and 0.9 because this workflow uses different schedulers and samplers
  • Use this specific Flux Mania model to fix skin textures while keeping the image similar to the original
