Adobe Express: Manual timeline editing and splitting clips

Step-by-step

  1. Click the Video button to open a new window
  2. Drag and drop your video file into the editor
  3. Move the playhead to the desired point on the timeline
  4. Split the clip by clicking the three dots in the corner and selecting Split, or by pressing the S key
  5. Select the unwanted section of the clip
  6. Press Delete to remove the section

Options

  • Split clips via the three-dot menu
  • Split clips using the 'S' keyboard shortcut
  • Reorder clips on the timeline after cutting

Tips

  • Use the space bar to quickly stop the playhead exactly where you want to make a cut
