Import and warp audio in Ableton Live

Step-by-step

1. Open a new project in Ableton Live and drag the audio file into an audio track.
2. Open the audio file in Clip View and zoom in to the beginning of the waveform.
3. Identify the first downbeat by listening to the audio.
4. Ensure 'Warp' is selected and set the algorithm to 'Beats'.
5. Double-click the warp marker at the identified downbeat, right-click it, and select 'Set 1.1.1 here'.
6. Right-click the marker again and select 'Warp From Here'.
7. Adjust the project tempo to match the original generation (e.g., 120 BPM).
8. Move the loop brackets to cover the desired measures (e.g., two full measures).

• Change the project tempo after warping to any desired speed.
