Step-by-step

Select an object on the canvas.
Click the Animation button.
Hover over animations in the side panel to preview them on the canvas.
Select an animation style like Slide or Fade.
Toggle 'Add separate enter and exit animations' at the bottom of the panel.
Switch to the Exit tab and select 'None' to keep the object on screen at the end of the scene.
Hold the Shift key to select and animate multiple objects simultaneously.

Options

Change animation duration and direction.
Animate text by individual letters or as a whole object.
Apply animations to text, shapes, or video files.

Watch out for

By default, Google Vids applies the same animation to both the entrance and the exit of a scene.

Tips

Use the 'separate enter and exit animations' setting to prevent objects from disappearing before the scene ends.
Change the animation direction for different objects to create a more dynamic visual effect.
